As a student of media studies, I have received many thesis assignments that seem so hard to write. I am not much aware of what pattern to follow and how the marking is done. It takes long time to me for getting awareness about it, until then I always try to seek the help through which I could make my media thesis well. I finally took my teacher help, learned writing, and adjusted writing practices accordingly. Major things that a creative media assignment must have are related to the presentation, formatting and referencing styles.

Presentation Style of Media Thesis
In media thesis, the major factor that contains almost half or more marks is the presentation and styling of the written media thesis paper.

  • Format: Your thesis preferably should be typed, if it is not possible, you could submit handwritten but in this case, writing must be legible. You have to arrange double space in your copy. Leave margins of at least four cm on both of the sides of your page so that the reader could give comments on it. The text must be written on one side of per page. Font size should be 12 points and should use font such as New Time Roman or Palatino that gives clear vision and easiness to the reader. Moreover, page number must be given on each page.
  • Structure: Essay should include an introduction in which you have to define the theme of your paper, raise the issues on which you are conducting your thesis and tell about the plans and methods that you are going to use in you research. The body that explains the main theme of your thesis presents arguments that must be supported with the evidences, expert opinions, and different examples. Conclusion should show a brief recap of arguments and your concluded solutions.
  • Expression: You must write clear goals, avoid general discussions in your writing. Jargons must not be presented in your writing. Explain any difficult concepts quotes or special terms in your own words that shows you are having full command on your own studies.
  • References: In-text referencing must be done by writing authors name and then the year in brackets. Alternatively, the name of author or authors could be written with year in the brackets. Referencing in the reference list must be in the standardized pattern, the referencing formats could be APA, MLA, Harvard, Chicago etc.

These are the following sequential steps I followed for completing my media thesis report. Subsequent to completion, I submitted my thesis report for proof-reading to a thesis writing service provider. Consequently, I submitted by my freshly prepared thesis report to course teacher and received excellent remarks.
